Police reform

Sometimes the meaning of the phrase “To Serve and Protect” can seem unclear to those outside the law enforcement profession. The basic responsibility of police is to protect citizens when they are able to. However, this does not mean that citizens are absolved of personal responsibility for their own safety.

On the other hand, policing in Pakistan is conked out on various instances and the public is dissatisfied. Since policing affects the safety and security of all those living in the country each and every day, it is imperative to comprehend the importance of police-citizenry relation.

As a concerned citizen I write on this pressing issue to urge authorities to include the issue of police reforms in their top priority.
