Police’s answers irk Kharotabad tribunal

The inquiry tribunal, investigating the Kharotabad incident in which five foreigners were killed by police and frontier corps personnel on May 17, expressed serious resentment over vague answers from a senior police official on Thursday. However FIA official told the tribunal that no record of these foreigners had been found. The tribunal headed by a judge of BHC Justice M Hashim Kakar recorded statements of three people, including directors of FIA and Balochistan DGPR. Recording his statement before the tribunal, FIA Director Shakeel Ahmad Durrani said foreigners had not entered into Pakistan legally as no record of their entry was found with FIA’s immigration check post.
