PM lauds sacrifices of KPK people in war on terror

Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has said that patience and sacrifices of the brave people of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) in the war against terrorism are immense and the government will press into services all the resources to bring peace and prosperity to the province. He added that he will visit Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the near future to launch public welfare projects.
The Prime Minister said while talking to the President of the Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Provincial Health Minister Syed Zahir Ali Shah, who called on him at Prime Minister’s House here on Friday, that he would launch Benazir Hospital and Children Hospital Complex projects during his tour of the province.
The Prime Minister said that the government would undertake a number of mega projects like Chashma uplift canal and Hassanabdal- Mansehra Expressway to accelerate the pace of development in the province. He said that the development of infrastructure projects would generate employment and economic activity.
The Prime Minister asked the party leader of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to mobilize the party workers for solving the public problems. He stressed upon the party leadership to keep close liaison with the masses.
Syed Zahir Ali Shah apprised the Prime Minister about organizational affairs and political matters of the party. He invited the Prime Minister to visit the province to perform ground-breaking ceremony of the Benazir Hospital and Children Hospital Complex. He also apprised the Prime Minister that land has been acquired and all other formalities regarding these projects have been completed.
