Spokesman of Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) has said about 100 stick wielding workers of union have encircled gate of the company head office and night shift staff stands entrapped in the building.
KESC spokesman said all the staff members including 3 officers could not enter into the office due to sit in staged by union. KESC head office located in Gadri is under the siege of strikers and all the employees including senior officers are being prevented from performing their duties in head office.
“We appeal to the government to immediately ensure implementation of Sindh High Court orders. All the installations including head office of KESC be got unlocked under the security cover of law enforcement agencies”, he demanded. The contemnors of court orders have held Karachi hostage, he added.
Spokesman said 200 persons of KESC employees union tried to attack Chief Executive Officer residence, he told.
