Tennis coach Birbal leaves for India

Indian coach Birbal Wadhera has left of his home country after completing month long training camps at Islamabad and Lahore and found the youngsters. He said before departure that Pakistan was immensely talented but lacked a proper system at grassroot level. The Pakistan Tennis Federation took the initiative in bringing in Indian coach Birbal Wadhera for training here. In his last stint here, he had imparted training at K-21 Club Model Town to junior tennis players of the city.
As many as 30 players in various categories took part in this training session and benefited a lot. Before leaving, Birbal appreciated the efforts of the PTF for taking this initiative and demanded more such useful activities at both sides of the boarder. He said that Pakistan and India have great potential in producing great tennis players. “We as coaches are enthusiast and feel professional honor to make it possible,” he said. He also admired the efforts of K21 club in promoting the game of tennis. The coaching session was followed by a reception hosted by Rao Akbar Latif, President K-21 club in the honor of visiting coach and PTF Officials including Iftikhar Hussain, Vice President and Col (Rtd) Asif Dar the senior vice president.
