Law enforcers robbed of cash, official gun

Two policemen manning a police picket on the main Mirpurkhas city road were robbed by unidentified armed men on late Tuesday night.
Police said that constables Sadiq Shaikh and Mohammad Arif were on duty near the Civil Hospital Mirpurkhas when two armed robbers on a motorcycle made them hostage on gunpoint. The gunmen also took away an official SMG and 30 bullets from the police officers.
On Wednesday morning, a case under sections 392 (robbery), 114 (negligence) and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code r/w 155 Police Ordinance 2002 was lodged by complainant Mirza Naeem Baig, reserve inspector of police line Mirpurkhas against two unidentified culprits and constable Shaikh.
