Locals have started shifting to safer places while the fishermen have anchored their boats to avoid any mishaps as panic gripped the communities living along the coastal areas of Thatta district following the forecast of cyclone and heavy rains from Friday.
Many residents were of the view that no measures have been taken by the administration to inform the people living in far-flung and remote coastal areas until Wednesday evening.
Volunteers of the Pakistan Fisherfolk Forum were, however, reported to be active in warning the local population about the expected rain accompanied by gusty windy in the next two days.
