Time management issues

Time management is the art of arranging, organising, scheduling, and budgeting one’s time for the purpose of generating more effective work and productivity. A good manager always does the important things first by prioritising his schedule. There are many issues related to time management faced by the project managers in Pakistan.
The first problem faced in time management is feeling stressed, anxious or overwhelmed by all the things that they need to do and all the demands on their time and attention.
The root-cause of these problems is using memory to keep track of things and attempting too much even there is no need of it.
Another problem is running out of time before completing an important project because of poor planning, wishful thinking and assuming that things will just work out when you have no good reason to think that they will. Another very important problem is of trouble in starting a new project.
Working on unimportant things means working on lower priority items instead of focusing on the tasks with the greatest payoff. Getting stuck in crisis mode is also a major problem leading to delays in projects of construction in Pakistan.
The technical delays, poor planning, mismanagement, flaws in plan implementation and slow pace of work by the construction company plays a vital role in the delay of a project. A project manager should stop micro management. He should only concentrate on steering a project to a successful conclusion.
