Tanvir Dar Hockey Academy (TDHA) won the MOP International Tournament in Holland on Tuesday. TDHA clinched the under-15 tournament in Vught, Holland which was participated by around 10 teams from Holland, Germany and Pakistan. Before the final, one minute silence was observed in the memory of late Olympian Munir Dar who passed away a few days back. The defending champions TDHA met the last year’s runner up HDM in the final of the fourth under-15 tournament. The Pakistanis started with determination and purpose.
In the third minute, they earned the first penalty corner and a well executed indirect drill scored the opening goal for TDHA from the stick of Bilal Mahmood. Within the next two minutes, they had their second penalty corner with the same result but that time Waqas strengthened the lead.In the 13th minute, skipper Rizwan’s mesmeric run had the HDM defence in tatters. His strong shot was well-blocked by the goal keeper but Bilal Mahmood put the ball into net to make the lead of 3-0 for his team to the end.
