Mirpurkhas Union of Journalists (MUJ) President Afaq Ahmed escaped unhurt in a targeted firing incident on the Civil Hospital Mirpurkhas road. The senior journalist was returning home on his motorcycle when he was attacked by armed assailants on late Sunday night. Owing to a series of attacks on journalists and killing of three Mirpurkahs journalists and non-arrest of killers and the accused, the journalist community of Mirpurkhas observed a protest demonstration on Monday and expressed grave concerns over continuous threats to Ahmad by a group of criminals.
