Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani approved the promotion of Pakistan Navy officers and Pakistan Air Force officers as recommended by the respective Promotion Boards.
Those who are promoted include 23 Captains of Pakistan Navy to the rank of Acting Commodore, 35 Commanders of Pakistan Navy to the rank of Acting Captains, three Air Commodores of Pakistan Air Force to the rank of Air Vice Marshal, 30 Group Captains to the rank of Air Commodores and 64 Wing Commanders to the rank of Group Captains.
