Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Vice Chairman (VC) Aamir Asghar Dar urged LDA officers to expedite development projects and said that those who have been allotted properties in LDA Avenue One will soon hear ‘good news’.
Dar inspected the ongoing development projects in LDA Avenue-One, on Wednesday, accompanied by Additional Director General (Headquarters) Hafiz Muhammad Ihsanul Haque.
Dar observed that basic infrastructure was being developed speedily and roads, sewerage and water supply systems have been completed in F, H, J and M blocks of the scheme. The boundary wall and the main gate on Raiwind Road would be constructed soon, he said.
Electrification was being completed at a cost of Rs 530 million, he said. Payment of Rs 40.69 million has been made to the Parks & Horticulture Authority (PHA) for Arboriculture, he added.
Dar said that LDA staff recently retrieved an area measuring 123 kanals and 13 marlas, approximately worth Rs 1 billion, after removing encroachments in Block A of the scheme.
Dar also chaired a meeting of the LDA officers for identifying hurdles in the way of early completion of the scheme.
He was told that a total of Rs 3 billion was being spent on building physical infrastructure and a sum of Rs 1 billion had been spent on construction of big and small roads in the scheme and an as much amount had also been utilized for water supply, sewerage, installation of tube wells, construction of overhead water tanks and setting up disposal stations in the scheme, he was told.
