National Assembly Speaker Dr Fehmida Mirza, taking strict notice over entry of guests by Members Parliamentarians in the Parliament house without approval, has directed the parliamentarians that there would be no compromise on security.
“The member parliamentarians should cooperate with security staff. No parliamentarian would be allowed to bring guest in the Parliament House without security approval”, she said in her remarks during the assembly session on Tuesday.
Speaking on a point of order, PPP’s Syed Khursheed Shah said the security of the Parliament is the main issue and the Parliament House was on terrorists’ hit list.
It was decided in the Business House Advisory Committee that the parliamentarians would not bring guests along with them in the Parliament House without taking special security passes but the directives is being neglected.
