Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) Chief Minister Ameer Haidar Khan Hoti has welcomed the new housing schemes in his province and has said that public-private sector investment was essential to reap benefits from potential opportunities in the sector. He said this on the draw of 5 marla and 10 marla plots of Hawaliyan Town Housing Scheme (District Abottabad) on Monday. The chief minister explained salient features of the aforementioned scheme. He said many government servants had submitted plot allocation applications under this scheme. He further said the scheme comprised of 241 plots, spreading over 218 kanals. The number of 5 marla and 10 marla plots were 150 and 91 respectively which will be completed in two years at a cost of around Rs 145.948 million.
The scheme offered facilities like roads, sanitation, electricity, telephone, Sui gas, park, mosque and market. The chief minister welcomed the scheme and congratulated the department for its launch.

The housing secretary informed the chief minister that it was the second major scheme launched this year and added that draw of Mulazai Scheme at Warsak had taken place earlier. He said a project of 40 flats in Hayat Abad for retired servants was also under construction. He assured the chief minister that the department will realise the provincial government’s vision of ‘house for all’. He said construction will commence after a transparent draw and allotment of plots. The chief minister was informed that the Provincial Housing Authority had taken possession of 218 kanals in Bandi Atai Khan and had prepared PC-1 at a cost Rs 146 million. He thanked the chief minister for his assistance in this regard. Earlier, the chief minister launched allotment draw of 5 marla and 10 marla plots of Hawaliyan Town Housing Scheme.
