Nowshera bakery bombing toll rises to 19


The death toll from the late Sunday night’s suicide bombing on an army-run bakery in Nowshera rose to 19 when a teenage girl succumbed to her wounds at a hospital on Monday morning. More than 30 injured are getting treatment in hospitals of Nowshera and Peshawar cities where the condition of several of them is reportedly precarious. Meanwhile, the police in Nowshera on Monday lodged an FIR against unidentified terrorists. Police said the suicide bomber was 17 to 19 years of age and he had used around 10 kilograms of explosive in the suicide strike. Police suspect that bomber’s target was to kill maximum number of military personnel and their relatives.
