26 injured in hand grenade attack in Karachi

At least twenty-six people including three children sustained serious injuries in hand grenade attack here on Napiar road, Karachi on Saturday.
According to police, some unknown miscreants hurled hand grenade at the people sitting outside a hotel situated in Thokar galli on Napiar road injuring twenty-six people including three children. Soon after the incident the rescue teams rushed at the site and shifted the injured to nearby hospital while according to hospital sources the condition of three injured is critical.
An eyewitness reported that the miscreants on bicycle targeted the sitting people with hand grenade on Napiar road.
Provincial Health minister Dr Sagheer Ahmad imposed emergency at civil hospital and directed to provide medical treatment to the patients.
According to Waqar Mehdi, close aide to Chief Minister Sindh, CM Sindh taking strict notice of the situation has sought detail report from IG Sindh.
