Pakistan to participate in environment moot in Malaysia

A nine-member delegation headed by Senate Deputy Chairman Mir Jan Muhammad Khan Jamali will attend the 15th General Assembly of the APPCED being held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from June 7 to 9. Jamali will present a country report at the plenary session on ‘Climate Change and Tourism’. The delegates include senators Saeeda Iqbal, Rehmatullah Kakar, Abdur Rashid and Kalsoom Parveen besides two MNAs, Anusha Rehman and Junaid Anwar Chaudhry. The delegation will attend the inaugural session wherein Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia, speaker of the Malaysia’s House of Representatives will deliver his opening and keynote address followed by a day-long plenary session during which each participant country will present a country report, according to an official statement. On the second day, the delegation is scheduled to follow a hectic schedule and will attend the presentations made by Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Malaysia, UNWTO and Korean Culture and Tourism Institute on Environment and Climate change.
