The seventh Model Town Football Academy (MTFA) Summer Camp for boys and girls started with grand opening at MTFA ground in Model Town, Lahore. “As a footballer, the best I can do for the youth in Pakistan is to provide them a platform where they can learn how to play football and make a living out of it,” stated MTFA President Mian Rizwan Ali. He further added that the Model Town Football Club was created in 1985 while the Academy started functioning in 2005. At that time there were only 25 youths on roll and now the number had risen up to 1850. The morning session of boys, having age six to 18 years, is being five days a week from Tuesday to Saturday. The timing is from 6:00am to 7:15am. The five days a week evening session from Tuesday to Saturday is from 05:00pm to 06:00pm, while U-15 Female Camp will assume four days a week in the evening session only and it is arranged from 06:00pm to 07:00pm from Thursday to Sunday.
