Dr Fehmida Mirza, Speaker National Assembly chaired a meeting of the House Business Advisory Committee in the Parliament House to discuss the schedule for the Budget Session of the National Assembly here on Friday.
After discussion and taking into account suggestions by representative of the political parties in the National Assembly, it was decided that budget for financial year 2011-12 will be presented on 3rd June and general discussion on the budget will be initiated on 6th June which will continue till 14th June. It was decided that the Budget will be passed on 24th June.
The Committee decided that the session will be held from Monday to Saturday. It was also decided that the question hour and other legislative business will remain suspended during the Budget session, however only calling attention notices will be taken up during the current session.
The meeting was attended by Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah, Minister for Religious Affairs, Mr. Maula Bukhsh Chandio, Minister for Law, Justice, Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada, Minister for Health MNAs Nawab Muhammad Yousaf Talpur, Mr. Iqbal Muhammad Ali Khan and Maulana Atta-ur-Rehman.
