Pakistan’s Ambassador to the US Hussain Haqqani has expressed his concerns over the Taliban attack in Dir and has asked the NATO and US to control infiltration of militants from the Afghan side. Meeting officials of the US State Department, Haqqani expressed his reservation regarding the attack by the Afghan Taliban on the Pakistani security forces in Dir, in which 70 people, including 25 security officials, were killed. Haqqani said NATO and Afghan forces should stop the Afghan Taliban from attacking Pakistan. He said there was a dire need to enhance security along the Pak-Afghan border, so that Pakistan could concentrate on its own anti-terror efforts.
