The University of Karachi, the most esteemed university of Karachi, where students go for their higher education, in reality is a ground for violence between political parties cloaked under the guise of student bodies. The students of KU can never say when violence may break out between the numerous political parties on the university premises and have to be on the guard every minute of their time in KU. Because these student bodies have the support and backing of political parties, even the chancellor is helpless in controlling their behavior on the grounds of the university. This greatly jeopardises the security of the students. Parents don’t let their children go to the university in fear of these violent outbreaks which greatly hamper the students in their studies.
I would like to request the authorities to take some action against such violence and make KU a secure educational institution.
