A delegation of Turkish educationists visited the Government College University (GCU) on Wednesday. The delegation, led by Pak-Turk International Schools and Colleges Regional Director Saadi Yildirir, discussed with GCU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Ikramul Haq the prospects of strengthening ties between the educational institutions of the two countries. Saadi stressed enhancing student exchange programmes between Pakistan and Turkey. He said that they had planned to facilitate Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) between various universities of both the countries. Recognizing the quality of higher education in Turkey, particularly in the field of Botany, Biotechnology and Engineering, GCU VC showed interest in arranging programmes through which Pakistani students could attend leading Turkish universities.
