Sports and other top officials from Punjab, KPK, Sindh and Balochistan Olympics, federations of hockey, weightlifting, football, kabaddi, rugby, karate, taekwondo condoled his death. Secretary PHF Muhammad Asif Bajwa said that he was shocked on the sad demise of Olympian Munir Ahmed Dar. “He was a kind hearted Olympian who had made very valuable and tremendous contributions to Pakistan sports especially hockey.” “He was an intellectual who always guided PHF with his valuable suggestions which always helped us overcome the problems. His contribution will go down in the annals of sports history as great achievement. He was a devoted and committed person with our national game,” he said. President PHF Qasim Zia offered heart-felt condolences and prayed to the Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace.
