Former Advisor to Chief Minister on Information Sharmila Farooqui on Wednesday lodged an FIR against a Pakistani-American over an alleged death threat issued in an altercation during a flight from Islamabad to Karachi. In her statement to the police, Farooqui said that she was given a life threat by a Pakistani-American named Ali Mirza onboard Pakistan International Airline (PIA) flight PK-3013 when she was returning to Karachi from Islamabad. She told the police that Mirza misbehaved with her, and when she retaliated, abused her and threatened to kill her. After an altercation, Mirza also chased her, she said.
An FIR, (No 165/11) has been lodged under sections 506-B and 504 against Ali Mirza at the Airport Police Station.
