Robbers rule the roost in Hafizabad

The people of the district have been left at the mercy of dacoits and robbers as three incidents of dacoities and robberies were reported in a night.
In the first incident, 10 dacoits stormed into the house of Rab Nawaz, a resident of village Kot Khairo, Wednesday mourning. They tortured the family members, snatched Rs 500,000 and 15 tolas of gold ornamentsby taking the family members hostage at gunpoint and fled away.
In the second incisdent, the same dacoits entered the house of Haji Fazal of Jhangirpura and snatched cash and gold ornaments worth more than Rs 200,00.  In the third incident, four robbers stopped Rana Nazir who was coming from Phoolnagar to his village Kiraliwala in his car along with his family. When they reached near the village, the obbers snatched 25 tolas of gold ornaments and Rs 25,000 and fled away. The increasing incidents of robberies and dacoities have created a sense of insecurity among the people of the district. The victims have demeaned the Punjab chief minister take concrete steps to improve the situation, provide security to the people of the district, direct the police to arrest the accused and recover the snatched gold ornaments and valuables.
CLERKS RALLY FOR PAY RAISE: The clerks of the district observed strike and took out a rally, led by All Pakistan Clerks Association leaders, Ch Ghulam Rasool, Nusrallah Hunjra, Mazaffar Ali and Irshad Dar, in favour of their demands, including raise in salaries. The rally started from the education department and terminated at Jinnah Chowk. The clerks were demanding raise in their salaries as per inflation.
DEMO AGAINST TEACHERS’ SACKING: The teachers and students of District Public School Hafizabad took out a rally against the management of the school for terminating the services of two teachers without any notice.
The rally was led by Tehreek-e-Insaf Hafizabad President Aman Ullah Sandhu. The participants of the rally were chanting slogans against the board of governors for its wrong decisions. They were demanding reinstatement of the terminated teachers and reconstitution of the board of governors. On the assurance of DCO Muhammad Asif to address their complaints and reconstitute the board of governors, the participants dispersed peacefully.
