MCB Bank Limited has successfully implemented ‘Project Supernova’ for Unilever Pakistan Limited under their ‘Collection Mandate’. This is one of the largest collections arrangement awarded by Unilever to any financial institution. Senior officials of both the organizations recognized this new initiative to streamline Unilever Pakistan Limited’s collection system at a signing ceremony, held at Unilever Pakistan Limited Head Office in Karachi on June 1, 2011. Project Supernova was initiated by the Transaction Banking Division of MCB Bank Limited in order to expedite sales collections from across the country for a geographically spread out business like Unilever. This innovative product, focused on collections, enable Unilever Pakistan Limited to consolidate funds in a more effective manner.
Commenting on the successful implementation, Unilever Pakistan Limited VP Finance Imran Husein said, “This is an excellent example of a mutually beneficial arrangement. Unilever Pakistan Limited, one of the largest FMCG company in Pakistan, and MCB Bank Limited, amongst the top grade financial institutions of the country have brought together their creativity and expertise to create value for the shareholders of both these organizations.”
