Karachi will host the Annual Emergency Medicine Conference 2011 from June 22-23 and provide local as well as international emergency medicine experts a platform to share their knowledge and expertise.
The conference is being organised by the Department of Continuing Professional Education of Aga Khan University and its Department of Emergency Medicine (WHO Collaborating Centre for Injury and Trauma Research) in collaboration with Injury Research Training Program, John Hopkins University, USA and Society of Emergency Physicians of Pakistan.
It will be preceded by a pre-conference workshop from June 18 to June 21. These hands-on workshop will include Adult Life Support Course (June 18); Pediatric Life Support Course (June 19); Disaster Management (June 20); Triage Management (June 20); Toxicology – Management in Emergency Department (June 21) and Ultrasound in Emergency Department (June 21).
