Gen Musharraf is a wanted man

An anti-terrorism court hearing the Benazir Bhutto murder case on Monday declared former president Pervez Musharraf a proclaimed offender and ordered publishing advertisements against the former president in British newspapers.Hearing the case in Adiala Jail, ATC Judge Rana Nisar Ahmad declared Musharraf a proclaimed offender when FIA prosecutor Chaudhry Zulfiqar produced a compliance report related to the arrest warrants for Musharraf issued by the court. The report said British authorities had declined to comply with the arrest warrants for Musharraf and that no progress had been made on the issue so far.  The FIA also produced documents and a CD of the statements of the former president in which he refused to appear in court. The court was informed that there was no agreement of criminals’ extradition between Pakistan and the UK, upon which the court declared Musharraf a proclaimed offender and adjourned proceedings until June 11. Musharraf is accused of failing to provide adequate security to Benazir Bhutto and conspiring to kill her.
