Applicants to be booked for withdrawing cases

Kasur District Police Officer (DPO) Gohar Naffees has ordered the registration of cases against twelve applicants for withdrawing cases against culprits. The DPO said the reporters had registered various cases against some accused that were wanted in the robbery cases. He added the applicants refused to identify the robbers on the basis of personal interests. He said the court acquitted the accused due to lack of evidence and added that after the acquittal, these accused committed crimes without any fear.
He further said this act discouraged the police to arrest the accused as cases had been registered against 12 applicants for supporting robbers.
TWO DRUG ADDICTS DIE: At least two drug addicts died after consuming hemp at village Hussainpur in Kot Radha Kishan area. Reportedly, Allah Rakha and Labha were found selling cannibals in a local graveyard. On the day of the incident, they died instantly after consuming poisonous hemp.
MAN DEPRIVED OF CASH, ORNAMENTS: Bandits deprived a relative of ex-district nazim Rana Imtiaz of cash, gold ornaments and licensed weapons. Reportedly, fifteen armed people barged into the house of Majeeb Ur Rahman, held all family members hostage and escaped after taking 100 tolas of gold ornaments, Rs 500,000 and licensed weapons.
GIRL’S BODY FOUND FROM CANAL: The body of a young girl was found from the canal near Khudian. Reportedly, on a tip off, police raided and found the body of a girl who had been killed due to unknown reasons. However, the police shifted the body to the hospital for autopsy and started investigation.
