The Pakistan Tennis Federation has completed the trials for the forthcoming Davis Cup tie against South Korea. Jaleel Khan, Mohammad Abid, Abid Ali and Heers Ashiq were the top four finishers. These players are expected to attend the Davis Cup camp in June. The team leaves for South Korea at the end of June. Chief Coordinator PTF Aman Asghar informed that Aisamul Haq Qureshi and Aqeel Khan have been exempted from the trials because of their form and past experience.
Meanwhile, PTF President Kaleem Imam’s development program for tennis is in full swing. The training camp being conducted by Indian coach Birbal is approaching its second session. A large number of tennis players are taking advantage of this opportunity to improve their game. The camp is scheduled till the first week of June.
