The final phase of war

In the last four years Pakistan has been pushed into the abysmal. Five phases of war imposed on us have been complete. The final phase is perhaps in the process of going to an end. At the first place we were subjected to fighting an endless war, then our water flow from rivers emanating from Kashmir and passing through India was stopped, our rivers went dry, agriculture suffered, produce decreased and above all the hydel power generation reduced, load-shedding resulted in severe halt of industry, shortage of production and manufacturing.

Then the corrupt government looted the exchequer, the price hikes, unemployment and injustice added to despondency. Pakistan plunged into Ahmed Rashid’s “Descent into Chaos”. The war on terror turned into war on Pakistan, the bloodbath of our citizens continued unabated. The country is left unable to acquire the capability of detecting intruders through its radars and ground gadgets. It is not so ironic that the terrorists who attacked PNS Mehran had night vision goggles, which were not available with the Pakistani forces’ personnel.

The weapons which they used were hi-tech and sophisticated that it had no match with that possessing the Pakistani contingents. What is then this ‘do more’ for? It is just a push to final phase of the war. The plot is engineered perhaps in the battlefield of North Waziristan.

The dearth of decision making will lead us to final punch. And resolve to stand triumphant; we have to take the course of our own. Do or die and emerge as a nation with pride. There is no other option.
