The disease of corruption

Corruption is like a poison which has spread in our existing system. It has pushed our nation to a dead end. It has spread in our society because of wrong decisions and weak policies of the government.

The agencies which are responsible for checking corruption have completely failed in their mission. The accountability seems like non-existing. In this scenario, there is no room for cooperation, fair play and justice. It is all about who is better, powerful, influential and dominating than the others.

It has now become a part of our life. With its increase, the growth of country decreases and poverty increases. The country cannot grow without decreasing it. There are some social reasons behind corruption as well: poverty, unemployment, inconsistence economic growth and uncontrollable inflation.

There are many effects of corruption. Most of the schools remain unoccupied due to absence of teachers. The government is not taking interest to decrease the rate of corruption in Pakistan. There is no check and balance system

The institutions should be made strong for proper working of democratic system. The unemployed people should be provided with jobs and the recruitment of people should be based on merit. A nation cannot succeed without education. Proper system of accountability and a check and balance system should be implemented. If there is proper planning and strictly implemented policies with public support, this menace can be dealt with effectively.
