Punjab govt announces summer vacations

The Punjab government has announced summer vacations in the educational institutes (schools and colleges) of Punjab from June 1. The vacations will end on August 14. Summer camps have been permitted by the government with the condition that the camps of only those classes would be allowed which ought to appear in the Punjab Examination Commission (PEC) or board exams and the students would not be forced to join the camps. The government has also stipulated the timing of the camps from 7.30 pm to 10.30 pm. Private schools in the province have already announced that their holidays would start from mid-June and continue till August 14.

  1. "Students won't be forced to attend summer camps" , What about teachers? they are forced by the administration of their schools and colleges to forgo their summer break and take summer camp classes.

  8. plz close the summer camps in govt schools. we r forced to attend it even in our own examination. The students r not attending it and only teachers r forced to do so. hamari ek student summer camp ka bahana kar k kisi k sath bhag gai hai aur ham teachers badnaam ho rahe hen. plz think about it!!!!!!!

  11. it is awfully painful to reach and teach in remote area during ramzan. its my personal experience.

    • i strongly agreed with you tahir mehmood sb …. all teachers should be united against cruel policy for teaching system n they must raise their voice for thier rights .

  25. it's just rubbish to first announce the vacation and then forcing teachers to attend summer camps even if no students are coming. sitting idle is the most difficult thing in the world.
