meeting of the sub-committee of the Senate Standing Committee on Housing and Works Saturday directed the Pakistan Housing Authority (PHA) to give itself a legal shape till June 10. The direction was given by Senator Dr Saeeda Iqbal, Convener of the sub-committee while the members of the sub-committee, Senators Syed Zafar Ali Shah and Adnan Khan endorsed the recommendation. The sub-committee discussed in detail the overall functioning/affairs and legal status and the origin of the PHA.
The sub-committee unanimously also decided that a full committee meeting of the Senate Standing Committee on Housing and Works would be contacted and the minister would be asked to attend the meeting. The convener urged the media to play a positive role while highlighting issues of extreme public significance. She assured the affectees of PHA Islamabad Scheme that the committee will take full care for safeguarding the interests of the masses generally and retired government servants particularly.
Its a very good decision and it should be implemented as well
