Nawaz convenes parliamentary party meeting before NA session

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Chief Nawaz Sharif has summoned parliamentary meeting of party legislators in National assembly and Senate on June 2 (Thursday) in Islamabad The meeting will map out final strategy against delay in formation of independent commission on Abbotabad operation and the rising concerns on the security of country’s nuclear installations. It will also mull over the option to direct PML-N member national assembly to quit parliament to protest parliament’s disrespect, a senior PML-N leader told Pakistan Today.
According to sources, the meeting will also discuss an option of boycotting the up-coming budget session and snap-polls as pressure tactics. Sources said that meeting intended to format decisive move to fight against the Pakistan People’s Party-led government due to its policies regarding war on terror, foreign affairs, corruption, accountability structure and election commission. The wide range of talks to be held during the meeting included country present political and economic situation, international concern on Pak-Nuke programme and energy crises, sources added.
