music band JoSH is all set to release its much-awaited new album Beyond Kismat across Pakistan today (Monday) after a gap of five years. Beyond Kismat is a blend of traditional Punjabi tarka fused with western beats and rock music of modern sound, which the band hopes will evolve positive energy for listeners. Message of Beyond Kismat is embedded in its title that “destiny is in your own hands”. The duo of Rupinder Magon (Rup) and Qurram Hussain (Q) has not only exemplified themselves as music icons of love, peace and unity but also entertain their fans with quality music across borders. Their songs showcase both modern and traditional Bhangra beats and music, but are strongly influenced by hip hop and pop music. Keeping in consideration their love for Pakistanis, Rup and Q have decided to launch their album in Pakistan first and later in India, Bangladesh, the Middle East, Canada and Europe.
The album is a result of untiring efforts and hard work, which spanned over five years to bring the best music of different genres. The album is being launched without any record label. JoSH has joined hands with international food chain McDonalds and their album will be offered for free with a meal deal. After launching Beyond Kismat today in Karachi, JoSH will travel extensively to launch their album in Dhaka, Mumbai, Dubai, the US and Canada. In the second phase, which probably will start in July, JoSH will be back in the sub-continent to perform at concerts, which will be held in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Mumbai, Indian Punjab and other cities of Pakistan and India. JoSH will hold a press conference at McDonalds after launching the album.
