The Pakistan Bodybuilding Federation on Saturday selected five musclemen for participation in the 8TH South Asian Bodybuilding Championship to be held at Bhutan on June 1 to 5.
Secretary PBBF Sheikh Farooq Iqbal said eight SAARC bodybuilding teams will contest in the eighth edition of the South Asian Bodybuilding Championship which will commence from June 1 and conclude on June 5.
He further stated that the PBBF selected Muhammad Bilal, Ashfaq Ahmad Butt, Ali Imran, Azhar Zafar, and Khaliq Ali. The team will leave from Lahore to Bhutan via Karachi on May 30 at 7:30 am.
The Pakistan team won four gold, two silver and one bronze medal in the 7th South Asian Bodybuilding Championship held at Nepal in June 2010. Farooq will also travel with the team to attend the general council meeting of the South Asian Bodybuilding Federation.
He is also executive vice president of the South Asian Bodybuilding Federation. During the meeting new officials for the next term will be elected.
