an increase in the death toll of Thursday’s suicide bombing at Hangu, Pakistani fighter jets pounded suspected militant hideouts in the adjoining Orakzai and Kurram tribal agencies, killing 23 militants and injuring several others. The jet fighters bombed dens of militants at Mamozai, Gronchki, Ghaljo and Munda and some parts of Kurram Agency. The official said that 15 militants were killed in Orakzai and eight in Kurram.
Meanwhile, the death toll of Hangu suicide bombing rose to 38 on Friday when six seriously injured terror victims succumbed to their wounds. The officials said 56 injured were still being treated at different hospitals – several in precarious condition. The funerals for more than 30 dead were held at various towns and villages of Hangu district.
