Mujahid Squad remembers fallen colleagues of ISI building attack

Police Mujahid Squad on Friday held Qurani Khawani at Police Lines Qila Gujjar Singh, in the memory of martyrs who sacrificed their lives during terrorist attack on the Inter-Servicse Intelligence (ISI) building on May 27, 2009. Dozens of policemen, Police Mujahid Squad Superintendent (SP) Ather Waheed, relatives and general public attended the anniversary.
Holy Quran was recited followed by fateha for the deceased of May 27, 2009 terrorist attack including Inspector Abdul Raof Sultan, Assistant Sub-Inspector Ghulam Mustafa and constables Umair Nazeer, Nisar Mansha, Shakeel Ahmed, Nadeem Ahmed and Mubasshir Haroon. The attack at Rescue 15 and ISI buildings claimed lives of about thirty men including officials from intelligence agencies, policemen and civilians.
The very next day after the incident, investigators arrested one of the accused namely Asif Engineer, who had prepared vehicles for the suicide attackers. They also claimed to arrest three co-accused namely Abid Akram, Sarfaraz Ahmed and Shabbir Ahmed whereas the alleged main planner of the incident namely Umer Kundi was shot dead by a police party during an encounter.
Police presented a detailed case report in the court a few days ago.
