Weather to remain dry and hot

Weather is expected to remain hot and dry in Lahore during the next few days. Mercury is also expected to rise due to hot conditions in coming days, as according to the Met Office, hot and dry weather is likely to persist in most parts of the country. Isolated rain, dust storms and thunderstorms hit Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Northeast Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan and AJK during the last few days.
The maximum temperature in Lahore dropped to 390 on Friday. Nawabshah, which is President Zardari’s ancestral hometown, was the hottest city in the country on Friday with maximum temperature of 46o. Scattered rains were expected in Northeast Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday and Thursday while rain with thunderstorm accompanied with gusty winds were seen in Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan and AJK from Wednesday to Friday.
