Afghans opt for rest

Pakistan A and Afghanistan are ready to meet in the second clash of the three-match series at Pindi Cricket Stadium Rawalpindi on Friday. Interior Minister Rehman Malik will grace the occasion as chief guest. The 50 overs match will be played in day light. Local cricket association have completed the arrangements to stage the second match of the series. All security arrangements have also been finalised. Pacer Sohail Tanvir will lead the Pakistan A while Nowroz Mangal will lead the visiting team. On Thursday, Pakistan team held practice session at the venue while the Afghan team opted for rest on a hot May day. “We will certainly make a couple of changes but the team will be finalised before starting the match, “skipper of Pakistan A team said while talking to this scribe. Tanvir further said that although it would be a hot day, but boys were keen to perform well and secure the series by winning the second fixture of the series. “We also worked on mistakes and will not repeat that in the Friday’s competition, “he viewed.
