Greek literature has greatly influenced other literatures of the world, writer Aqeel Ahmed Rubi said on Friday. He was addressing a forum organised by the South Asia Free Media Association (SAMFA) titled, “Stepping into the era of Greek literature and philosophy”. Rubi said that for understanding Aristotle’s ideology, one has to understand Greek literature.
He said that civilization always tells stories, which were based on hatred, love or enmity. Plato and Aristotle’s names have been repeated in Greek history and Humour was a great writer of Greek history, Rubi said. He said, “Humour is Greek and Greek is Humour.” Columnist Khalid Ahmed said that Aristotle’s and Plato’s names have a great influence on Greek history.
He said that Aristotle was a great person and his ideology resembles Islamic polices. Khalid said that Aristotle gave a moderate concept and Islam also gives the same. He said that the nation should learn from history.
