The Pakistan Hockey Federation on Wednesday distributed cheques worth Rs nine million among the winning team members who claimed the 11th South Asian Games hockey title in Dhaka on February 9.
That Asian glory opened up bounties for the Pakistan team and on the team’s return, Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani announced the cash awards of Rs nine million for the team for winning the gold medal.
The PHF organised a brief and simple ceremony here at the PHF conference room and PHF secretary presented the cheques to the players for the honour they brought for the country.
