The Muhajir Qaumi Movement-Haqeeqi Chairman Aamir Khan has returned to the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), a private TV channel reported on Wednesday. Khan was released two days ago and after a reunion with his family, he was accompanied by MQM leader Raza Haroon from his residence in the cantonment to MQM Headquarter 90, where he is scheduled to address a press conference alongside the MQM Coordination Committee to announce his formal return to the party.
According to a MQM press release, family members of slain and missing MQM workers and MQM chief Altaf Hussain had pardoned Khan after he had apologised. The announcement was made at a large gathering of the family members at Lal Qila Ground today. Members of the Coordination Committee were also present on the occasion. Hussain also ratified Khan’s reinstatement as a MQM worker.
