The Aga Khan University (AKU) is organising an International Day of Action for Women’s Health on Saturday, May 28, the AKU announced on Wednesday. It was pointed out that despite the challenging times in country, various individuals and organisations are collectively responding in innovative, courageous ways to defend and claim women’s reproductive and sexual rights as “universal, indivisible human rights” in the country.
As a step towards this direction, the AKU is holding an International Day of Action for Women’s Health on May 28 to raise awareness about the need to safeguard the women’s reproductive health. Women health experts at the seminar will be speaking about menopause, cervical cancer and urinary incontinence, also addressing common issues such as troublesome pregnancy and birth after caesarean section.
