Director of Metrological Department,Ajmal Shaad said that heavy rains and thunderstorm are expected in most parts of the country in next 48 hours.
Talking to national TV on wednesday, he said that rain spell will continue till Friday,and a thunderstorm and rain is expected in Lahore and Gujranwala for next 24 hours.
He said that another spell of hot waves are coming from Balochistan in to Punjab in next 2 days and after this upper and middle areas of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhaw will receive light rain in next 48 hours.
Due to temperature rise in southern Punjab a system of thundstorms expected there which will take all surroundings areas in its grip.
“Cloudiness will be started soon in many other parts of the country,” he maintained.
