Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani visited Aga Khan University Hospital on Wednesday to inquire about the health of Pir Pagara, leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-F.
He was accompanied by Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan and Interior Minister Rehman Malik. Talking to newsmen, he said that Pir Saheb was a senior politician and an elder of his family. “I came here to inquire about Pir Saheb Pagara,” he added. The prime minister said that doctors would decide in the evening when to discharge Pir Saheb from the hospital.
Replying to a question about the number of attackers of Mehran Base, he said that there was no discrepancy in the number. It has rather been created in the media, he noted. He said that an inquiry commission has been constituted which will thoroughly investigate the incident and its report will be made public.
Later, the prime minister left for Benazirabad to express condolences with President Asif Ali Zardari on the demise of his father Hakim Ali Zardari. Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan saw him off at the airport.
