Former Pakistan No. 1 and Davis Cupper Hameed-ul-Haq will leave for Turkey to take part in the ITF Seniors Tennis Tournament which will start at Ted Club on Synthetic Hard Court, Istanbul, from May 28. The event will conclude on June 5. Hameed will compete in two events 40-plus singles and 45-plus singles in Turkey. Hameed, who won the seven senior championships and overall 168 titles, a feat that no other Pakistani player has yet achieved, will leave on May 27.
Hameed claimed to be in the form of his life and believes that he is going to win the championship. He was among the top 50 players in the world’s 45-plus singles category, the only Asian to achieve this mark. Hameed is going on his own expenses to participate in that championship.
