Additional District and Sessions Judge Musharaf Hassan has directed the Kot Lakhpat station house officer (SHO) to record the statement of Dr Fahim Raza, who alleged that the superintendent and deputy superintendent of Kot Lakhpat Jail tortured him and fed him human flesh in jail.

Dr Raza had requested the court to direct the SHO to register an FIR against the accused. The court directed the SHO to take action against the accused if any cognizable offence was proved against them.

A case in this regard was registered in Faisal Town Police Station. Dr Raza had submitted that in the month of Ramazan, he discovered a human palm with fingers in his food, which the jail authorities served him.
Sources said that the jail authorities asked him not to disclose the matter before the media or the government officials. Over Dr Raza’s refusal, he was put in a separate lockup and was tortured by the jail authorities, they said adding that Jail Medical Officer Dr Noman also drugged him, after which he lost his senses.

Dr Raza alleged that Deputy Superintendent Shabraiz Chaudhary plucked his feet nails by nose pliers and he was kept hungry and awake for several days on the directions of jail superintendent.
