The Federal Religious Affairs Ministry has allocated quota to 700 Haj Group Organisers (HGO) while details about the number of pilgrims to be served by each group are available on the ministry’s website www.hajjinfo.org, Lahore Haj Director Saeed Ahmed Malik said on Tuesday.
He said that issuance of application forms to registered HGOs for booking intending pilgrims will start following dispatching of offer letters to them. The last date for submission of completed application forms is June 15, whereas, passports of intending pilgrims will have to be deposited to the ministry on August 1, he added.
Saeed said that the ministry issued enrollment numbers to registered HGOs and they have been directed to prominently show their enrollment certificates inside their offices besides displaying special signboards outside their offices, according to the design approved by the ministry. He advised intending pilgrims to submit their Haj applications and deposit travel expenses with registered HGOs only and verify credentials of these companies before finalising any deal with them.
